Third beach seen through trees on the hillside just to the south
of a creek (unnamed?). The trail from the road also empties on to the
beach just to the north at creek's end.
|
Nothing to see here. Move along, move along...
|
Looking north along the beach and two rows of footprints
Alan and Clare have just trod.
|
Clare immediately perched herself on this crumbling sandstone
rock right next to our camp site. MitH is suprisingly relaxed considering
the many bits of rock that are about to break off and begin dibbling down
his neck.
|
Lea and MitH on the dark, prickly, heavy grained rocks at
the south end of the beach. We spent a fair amount of time scrambling
around barefoot on these.
|
The non-Alan's relaxing on the rocks.
|
Looking south from the rocks toward Taylor Point.
|
Looking north from the rocks down Third Beach. Off to the left is
Teahwhit Head, an unpassable section of coast dividing Second and
Third Beach.
|
A frame from Alan's secret audition for the Blair Witch
Project? He probably needs to look less scary and more scared.
|
Everyone but Alan packed up and heading back down the beach
toward home. What have they done with Alan? ...tied to rock at the low
tide line? ...buried up to his nose in the sand? Holy creepin'
crustaceans, Batman! Will he ever make it back?
