Lea and Dan relax in the van on the way to the Edmonds ferry. Sarah is hiding from the camera behind the seat to the left. Maybe if we are all quiet she will feel safe enough to come out again...

Why there she is! Sasha (in front) and Sarah read read books while Lea watches the water outside the ferry (or just shuns the photographer?)

From the previous tranquil image comes this image of madness. Sometimes Sarah hides, but more often she fights back. Alan is in the foreground, and Greg is just behind him. Raf is the photographer, and Sarah is the trouble maker. Luckily no cameras were hurt in the making of this photograph.

Structurally unsound or architectural genius? You decide. A barn settles into a field maybe a mile from the campground. An important turnoff is on the other side of the road -- this barn caused use to miss it the first time we passed.

Dungeness Spit which is about 5 miles long, ending in a lighthouse is seen through the trees along the trail down to the beach.

Another image of the spit from lower down and later in the day.

Sasha, in one of her more timid moments, hides behind Lea on the beach next to Dan and a man with a stick (need I say more).

Sarah, Anna, and Sasha walk along the spit. (They really are happier than they look.)

One of many cool driftwood forts along the spit.

The photographer bravely photographs Lea despite the dominant posturing, sly smile, and threatening stick.

Lea, Sarah, and Anna climbing on a log. This is when the photographer turns and runs, narrowly escaping an icy-hot slash from the stick wielder.

Amazingly Sasha is persuaded to sit still for a picture. She has her moments.

Alan has a little too much fun with his camera, and Sasha has a little too much fun watching Alan.

The prickly roots of one drift log scratch the back of one of it's silvery cohorts.
