Mis and John's Wedding
Marissa (Monica's cousin) and John were married in a small ceremony on the University of Washington campus, followed by a great reception at the natural history museum. The events started the day before with an afternoon at a nail parlor next to University Village. Adam and I took a walk down to the Montlake Cut and back through campus to keep a safe distance from the girliness. After all nails were sufficiently shiny we hit Ivar's fish bar for lunch before checking in to the University Inn. That evening we drove south to Mis and John's new house near West Seattle for dinner, some messing with centerpieces and the unveiling of the bobbleheads. The next day we had a very short walk to breakfast at Portage Bay Cafe. Before the 5pm ceremony we had time to return to run some errands around the U. District and bop over to Mis and John's house for more messing with flower arrangements. The ceremony was held in Grieg Garden, which I was surprised to discover was a parking lot just a few years before I arrived on campus. The reception was held just a short walk away at the Burke Museum. We slurped down salmon surrounded by bits and pieces from Washington's history and danced under a looming fossil. We couldn't quite get the wallflower-asaur to break out and dance. It was a low-budget affair, so I was the "official" photographer, but everyone had a whole lot of fun and I think I captured some of that in this gallery. From the raw set of 600 pictures I pulled from the camera this is the "select" 250.
