Torn American flag

The campus flag, obviously worn out by the weather, was still at half-mast, presumably in honor of President Ford. Someone stoped and asked me about it while I took this picture, he was suprised to hear that flags drop to half-staff for a whole month when a president dies. I know these things because spent too much time reading my almanac when I was kid.
