On Sunday, January 14th rain in Ann Arbor froze over the night and covered the town in ice. On Monday Monica and I took a walk with her dog through the residential area between her house and the YMCA. The sky was grey, though it did privide a nice light snowfall on the second half of our walk. On Tuesday the sky opened up and cooled everthing down even more, lighting and preserving the shimmering armor on all the trees. The ice brought down a few large branches around town, but the destruction didn't seem too bad; Ann Arbor has had this before.
