Paris
Week 1
We visit the Louvre, Sacre Coeur, and the Pompidou and do good bit of eating and drinking. Heather and Bob were around for part of the time.
Week 2
Monica's cousin Gabi arrives on her first trip to Europe. We visit the national science and industry museum, Musee d'Orsay, Rodin Museum, Arc de Triophe, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame. Jonathan stops by for day and we spend the last two nights in Montmarte.
I left the evening of Monday, June 22 on an overnight flight directly to Paris. By Tuesday night (or really Wednesday morning) I was stumbling to bed with a full bottle of wine in me. Ah, gay Paris! Our home base was an apartment rented by Monica and Heather less than 5 minute from Gare de Lyon at the edge of the 12th arrondisment. It worked quite well for us, though the "shower" (corner of a tiny bathroom with curtains) is in need of better containment measures.
