Fetes de Geneve
Looking back up Rue du Mont Blanc toward the train station, roads are blocked off and people stream down toward the lake for the fireworks that will start in about an hour.
I found a place on the walkway just past the entrance to Bains des Paquis about 30 minutes early and waited for the fireworks to begin.
Around the launch point on Bains des Paquis, after the salvo of fireworks in the previous picture, fires continue to burn. This is when the show was delayed while they put out the fire.
As I started to get dizzy from dehydration and standing up so long I retreated to a patch of grass with a restricted view to sit down and recover.
This was the most crowded day of the Fete, this Quai du Mont Blanc on the rive droite looking downriver.
