Chamonix - Mont Blanc
Friday & Saturday
We left Friday evening and arrived as the sun was setting. On Saturday we took a cable car up to Lac Blanc and walked all the way back down.
Sunday
We took the must-see 2800m cable car ride up to Aiguille du Midi, right in the face of Mont Blanc. Like the day before, we chose to hike down (from the midway point, 1300m up, near Lac Bleu).
Monday
On our last day we took the train up to Montenvers, overlooking a huge winding glacier. An intense rain and hail storm swept through just as we arrived. We returned home by heading up the valley, over the pass, and down the Rhone valley to Geneva.
