Week 5
Pascale treats Reid and I to pasta at our house. I had a craving for oranges that day so brought a bag along. Pascale's talented flatmate, Elena, did the lovely orange sculpting.
As usual, Pascale is overfeeding us and Reid has to use every ounce of his powers to fight her off. Pascale will regret it when, one day, she finds us floating at the top of the tank.
We visited the Geneva Intern Network's weekly jazz jam session. The room was packed and the music wasn't bad, but as these things usually go, it was too loud to do any socializing.
We left the jam session a little early and considered a quieter evening at Giulia's place; but, it was already pretty late, and so we decided to call it a night and go our seperate ways.
Pascale takes a picture of the crowd at Reid's birthday evening, Giulia is out of the frame to the left.
Giulia's cake and the Panettone that Pascale brought (a going-away gift from Marco). Giulia was disappointed with her cake because it collapsed a little in the center. The fruit on top is nestled in a pudding-like layer that Giulia wasn't able to chill
Reid cuts his birthday Panettone, which is basically just a giant muffin (or at least that is what you say if you want to drive your Italian friends crazy). Actually, it is best described as a fluffy fruitcake. It's buttery fluffiness is what makes it s
Reid fills out his census form. A little over a week ago a man came by with census forms and I wanted them to get filled out before he returned (I believe he said in 10 days, but it was all in French so I'm not sure).
